Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA). QuickCopy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its users. This policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, storage, and protection of your personal information in accordance with global MNC standards and Indian regulations.

1. Collection of Information

In compliance with applicable Indian laws, we collect only the minimum personal data necessary to provide our services effectively. This includes:

  • Personal Data: Name, email address, and assigned account role, collected during registration or via Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
  • Document Metadata: File name, file size, mime-type, and calculated page count, strictly utilized for pricing estimation and print job configuration.
  • Technical & Security Data: IP addresses, browser user-agents, and device fingerprints to maintain secure sessions and prevent fraudulent access or abuse.
  • Transaction Data: Order details, payment method, and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) reference numbers (UTR) required for payment reconciliation.

2. Purpose and Processing of Data

We process your personal data under the lawful grounds of consent and legitimate operational necessity to:

  • Provision, manage, and optimize the QuickCopy print queue and cloud storage resources.
  • Authenticate user identity and maintain secure HTTP-only sessions.
  • Process transactions and coordinate with authorized UPI payment aggregators.
  • Dispatch operational alerts, such as order completion statuses, via web push notifications.
  • Conduct security audits, prevent unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with our Terms of Service.

Zero Tracking & Non-Disclosure: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, document history, or metadata to any third-party advertisers, marketing agencies, or external entities. Disclosure to third parties is strictly limited to authorized payment gateways for transaction processing and law enforcement agencies only upon receipt of a valid, legally binding court order.

3. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Automated Document Purging Protocol

All uploaded Customer Content (PDFs) are stored in secure, isolated cloud directories. To guarantee utmost privacy and data minimization, these files are permanently erased from our servers within a maximum of 24 to 48 hours post-printing, or 24 to 48 hours after upload if left unprinted.

Account data and transaction logs are retained only for the duration necessary to fulfill operational, legal, or regulatory obligations under Indian law, after which they are securely anonymized or destroyed.

4. Security Practices and Procedures

In accordance with Rule 8 of the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, QuickCopy implements comprehensive administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. These measures are designed to protect your personal information and documents from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We conduct regular internal security audits, utilize TLS encryption for all data in transit, and mandate strict access controls for our infrastructure.

5. User Rights (Data Principal Rights)

As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you retain the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You may view your profile data, transaction history, and active storage quota at any time via the dashboard.
  • Right to Correction & Erasure: You can manually delete files from your library and request complete account deletion, which will permanently erase your profile and associated data.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent for data processing by opting out of services or deleting your account.
  • Right to Nominate: You have the right to nominate another individual to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

6. Grievance Redressal

In compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, 2023, the details of the Grievance Officer are provided below. Any discrepancies or grievances regarding the processing of information should be addressed to the Grievance Officer, who will resolve the issue within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt.
